Product Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful but problematic I purchased two of these in Polished Brass over a year ago when I replaced my double kitchen sink. The strainers are beautiful, made of heavyweight brass. The push-down closure is a breeze, and they never close accidentally. The finish has held up beautifully. However--the struts on the flange (the parts that hold the basket in place) are made of thinner metal than the rest of the unit, and the struts on one of my units broke after less than a year of use. Delta replaced it free of charge about three months ago, and now THAT unit has failed in the same way. Looks like a manufacturing flaw with some units. My other one is fine, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value for your dollar New to the world of remodeling - my husband and I didn't realize that strainers had to be ordered seperately from the facuet. When I told my husband that we were getting a deal on a $50 strainer - he replied "Who pays $50 for a strainer?" "Not us," I said. With Faucet Direct we saved 37%. Our kitchen project is almost complete - the strainer is of top quality - sturdy and durable. Not plastic. A perfect match to our faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expected the best This basket drain was as good quality as we expected. The installation was easy and clearly explained in the packaging. The finish was beautiful and made a great addition to our new stainless steel sink. We are pleased with the final result!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Best strainer basket I've ever had. Heavy and sturdy. Actually does the job of keeping stuff from going down the drain while still allowing the water to go through. Most strainer baskets I've used have to be tilted off-center to allow the water through, and that also lets through more of the junk you want to keep out of the drain. Haven't had it long enough to know how the finish will hold up, but personal experience with similar ones also from Delta in an oil rubbed bronze finish didn't hold up the finish. However, I'm rather hard on my sinks and the metal underneath was solid brass, so that looked fine with my "old country" look even after the original finish came off. Same finish on faucet held up very well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't need it; returned The original sink that needed a basket was back-ordered for two months, so I got a different one that came with a stopper. I dare say, though, that my plumber thought it was over-priced, and had too much plastic in it.. He refused to use it and sold me one for $10 less. Was it a plumber thing? I doubt it, as he's not that kind of guy.
