  • What are the disadvantages to low lead content as versus regular lead content?

    A. Leaded faucets can no longer legally be sold to California or Vermont customers. Here's some information from The Department of Toxic Substances Control Why is lead in plumbing products being targeted? Lead in drinking water results primarily from corrosion of plumbing materials containing lead that are in contact with the water. Particularly, the lead leaching from household pipes and faucets cannot be easily detected and removed from the drinking water. Exposure to lead in drinking water can cause a variety of adverse health effects and infants and children are much more susceptible to the effects.

    A. The Danze D301058 is the updated version of the D305258. The only difference between the two is the D301058 is low lead compliant and can be sold in California and Vermont.

Get it Love at first sight doesn't always mean "functional". I learned the hard way. THIS faucet has a great 4.5 inch reach plus the water pours out at an angle. Gets the water FAR out into the sink. Exactly what I needed. Material in the faucet is less than a Moen. They skimped on metal but I like the design of this. I had to return a Moen that came slightly damaged, faucet direct made the return INCREDIBLY easy, emailed me a prepaid fedex slip and credited the amount back to my credit card. Couldn't have been easier! I changed my mind and got this rather than another Moen only because I needed more reach into the sink. July 31, 2010
