Absolutely Lovely
I recently purchased 3 of these, along with the matching post light, and they are absolutely lovely and complement my 1880's Victorian Home. The back plate is not round, as it appears in the photo, it is actually an oval shape and slightly longer in appearance. The matte black finish should be easy to keep up and touch up paint when needed, and the hammered glass slightly diffuses the light emmitted. This fixture takes a small end type of candlabra bulb. If you are concerned with cost of operation, I recommend the use of a wired remote motion sensor in a protected location, such as under an eave. We have all of our lights on quality sensors (not photo cells built in to the actual fixture) so you have security, but also sight assistance for yourself and visitors as you move around your property. We would purchase these again in a heartbeat!
