I have purchased the Blanco 440179 in Cafe Brown. What products are recommended for cleaning the sink and to help retain the color?
A. Per Blanco's website: GENERAL CARE & CLEANING: Daily cleaning may be done with any non-abrasive cleaner (i.e. BLANCOCLEAN Composite Sink Cleaner). After every use, rinse and wipe the sink dry with a clean, soft cloth to eliminate any water spots or soap film build-ups. REMOVING STAINS AND MINOR SCUFF MARKS: Normal Stains ~ For stains, please use BLANCOCLEAN, along with a soft scouring pad. Stubborn Stains ~ A solution of 50% bleach, 50% water should only be used for tough, stubborn stains. Let the solution sit in the bottom of the sink for one hour; then scrub. Rinse well. Also, the use of Bar Keepers Friend (directions included on bottle) will help remove stubborn stains. Finally, clean with BLANCOCLEAN to put a protective coating back on the sink's surface. LUSTER: BLANCOCLEAN can be used to help bring back the luster. Follow the directions on the bottle. MISCELLANEOUS: To remove Calcium Deposits (a white ring around the bottom of your sink): use LIME AWAY To remove Adhesive Labels: use Acetone (nail polish remover) Note: Always test non-Blanco branded stain remover in a small, non-visible location WHAT NOT TO USE: 1) Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or scrub pads, such as Steel Wool 2) Straight bleach 3) Commercial alkalis, such as ammonia and/or caustic solutions 4) Drain blocking chemicals that involve filling the sink with water Note: Always test non-Blanco branded stain remover in a small, non-visible location

Great Sink
Reading other reviews helped me decide on this sink, and I'm glad I read them. I LOVE my sink! It replaced an enamel top-mount sink of approximately the same proportions. But this sink is so much better. First, I love the black color - perfect with the new granite. Second, I was able to keep the same bowl dimensions..the bigger bowl being perfect the soak/clean my very large soup pot. The good and bad of it is that the sink doesn't show any dirt/grime . I have to clean it because I know that I cleaned my spaghetti sauce pot (always leaves red greasy film) in the sink, but you can't see the film! Again, both good and bad (ha!). I've been using it for a little over 1 month and I can't fnd anything wrong. I certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a granite-composite sink.

Blanco double sink
I just got my sink installed. It is huge compared to my last stainless sink. As beautiful as the sink is, the drains I got were black to match and were kind of plastic. However, they look good as they match and don't stand out. The right side is small for a small dish rack to fit into so you might want to order one to match if you need one. I also have a plastic sink protector in the bottom. I understand that these sinks are very hard to scratch. I am so excited to have a sink after many months of self-installing a kitchen.

super sink
I love the size of this sink. It is much deeper and larger than our last one. However, it created a number of problems with installation. I like for us to do it all ourselves, so hiring a plumber was not really an option. A plumber probably would not have had a problem. Since the drain is not located in the CENTER of the sink AND the sink is DEEPER, all plumbing had to be customized. Our current pipes come out of the wall too high and stuck out too far, so those needed serious adjustments. After a great deal of time, and several trips to our local hardware stores, we were able to phenagle a good plumbing job. I still love the sink! My neighbor and parents also have one.

Blanco Limited Lifetime Warranty
Specifically, BLANCO warrants, to the original consumer, the ceramic cartridge, parts and the finish used in BLANCO faucets to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for a "Lifetime," as long as the original consumer owns the home in which the faucet(s) are installed. If any such BLANCO faucet proves to be defective during the warranty period to the original owner, BLANCO will provide replacement parts free of charge at the location of the purchase.
This warranty does not cover ceramic cartridges, parts or finishes which have been improperly installed, damaged or subjected to misuse or abuse used in a location other than a residential kitchen or faucets which are scratched or scuffed due to the use of corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents. This warranty does not cover shipping costs, labor costs, or any other costs associated with the installation or replacement of the product/parts and is extended only to the original consumer-purchaser of the faucet.
BLANCO is not responsible or liable for indirect, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of its faucets or ceramic cartridges, and its liability under this warranty is limited to replacement of the defective material at the location of purchase.
