  • is the base a brushed nickel finish?

    A. The Adesso 6364-22 does have a steel base, what the manufacturer calls the finish, but it is most similar to a brushed nickel or a satin nickel.

Handsome and Elegant This lamp is tall and slim, with a brushed nickel base and a wide shade. It is very simple and sculptural. There's no on/off switch-you touch the base to turn it on or off. I bought it to use with a CFL and found that the packing box, but not the write-up, mentions that it's not compatible with CFLs. I did find that it will work with a single wattage CFL but not a three-way. March 8, 2010
